Chattahoochee Park sits on the Florida side of Lake Seminole, just off U.S. 90 in Chattahoochee a short drive down North Bolivar/Booster Club Road to the lake's wooded edge. The campground itself is small: there are exactly three tent-only campsites, so groups should plan ahead and expect limited capacity; the park's picnic facilities are the ones explicitly listed as reservable, and for campsite reservations, fees, or seasonal availability you should call the park office at (229) 662-2001. Campsites are basic tent spots (no data indicate RV hookups), and the park's layout places picnic shelters, the swim beach and boat ramp within easy walking distance of day-use areas; restrooms are located within walking distance of the three main shelters. A paved boat ramp gives direct access to Lake Seminole for boaters and anglers, while bank fishing and a pier provide options for shore-based fishing. The lake around Chattahoochee Park is a big part of the experience: Lake Seminole covers 37,500 acres with roughly 376 miles of shoreline and is known for excellent sport fishing stump and grass beds provide cover for largemouth, hybrid, striped and white bass, with healthy populations of catfish, crappie and bream and more than 79 species recorded in the reservoir. The park's immediate landscape is a mix of rolling pine and hardwood forest, which supports a variety of wildlife from waterfowl like ring-necked ducks and canvasbacks to raptors such as bald eagles and hawks, and more common inhabitants like raccoons and alligators. For families and active groups, three reservable picnic shelters (each supplied with eight picnic tables, a grill, potable water and electricity) offer lake views and convenient restrooms; nearby amenities include a playground, tennis and basketball courts by the Turkey Flight Shelter and a sand volleyball court adjacent to the Swim Beach Shelter. Activities on and off the shore include boating, fishing, biking, hiking, wildlife viewing and more check with the park for up-to-date information on reservations and any seasonal restrictions.
